The Albers Group
The Albers Group, based in Zürich, Switzerland is the owning company of Vipingo Properties Ltd.
The group developed from humble beginnings to an international group of companies specializing in textiles and real estate development. The property portfolio includes residential and commercial buildings in the major cities of Switzerland, their most recent projects being the residential Hardtürm Park and the Opera underground parking facility in the heart of Zürich.
The Albers Group’s presence in Africa dates back to the turn of the last century as owners of the Amboni and Vipingo sisal estates in Tanzania and Kenya respectively.
A merger with the REA group in 1995 was the precursor to the Albers Group selling its interests in sisal and retaining land not covered by the merger for future development.
Vipingo Properties Ltd
Vipingo Properties Ltd (VPL) is the Kenyan subsidiary of the Albers Group’s property development business.
Based in Vipingo, the company has already developed the successful Vipingo Beach community comprising an initial phase of 83 plots which are now all sold and a second phase of a final 51 plots which are currently on the market, with sales going well.
